The project plans a significant advancement in global meteorological modeling, building upon the established groundwork laid by the GLOBO model developed by ISAC-CNR. Drawing upon decades of the research team’s expertise, GLOWPP promises groundbreaking advancements that could redefine atmospheric science and weather forecasting.

Technology

The GLOBO model developed by ISAC-CNR, CPU/GPU with dynamic load balancing, compatible features with GLOBO, modular architecture.

State of the art

The Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) Model is a state-of-the-art mesoscale numerical weather prediction system that has undergone adaptations for global-scale usage.

The leading research organization is the University of Naples “Parthenope” (UNP). The industrial partners are Fides Consulting S.r.l. (FIDES) and ITDM S.r.l. (ITDM).
